10 kilometers east of Fort Portal town on the edge of an extinct volcano, you will find the splendid Kyaninga, a lodge that needs little introduction. Kyaninga has eight grass-thatched log cabins that rise to the sky-high up on stilts. The main lodge area and rooms, joined by a wooden walking platform are a spectacular sight – just like the views over Lake Kyaninga below and the snow-capped Rwenzori mountains at a distance. They have a swimming pool and sundeck which are amazing spots for anyone that enjoys snapping away for Instagram or TikTok. Absolutely out of this world! The photos didn’t lie. Like many lodges on this list, It is recommended that you book in advance.
