A new 36-room luxury townhouse hotel will open in London’s Knightsbridge later this year.

The Wellesley, at 11 Knightsbridge, will be managed by Arab Investments’ City and Country Hotels and is being developed by Rhimesong which plans a £36million refurbishment of the property due for completion in December.

Formerly commercial offices, the hotel will boast interiors from award-winning design experts Fox Linton, combining the building’s 1920s art deco history and glamour with stylish contemporary touches.

The sixth floor will be a four-bedroom suite with uninterrupted views over Hyde Park and its own boardroom. It will be the largest capacity suite in London.

Beyond the guestrooms, the hotel will incorporate a Cigar Bar, The Oval Restaurant and the Jazz Room. The Oval restaurant will serve Italian cuisine and the Jazz Room will showcase both established and up-and-coming jazz acts in an intimate atmosphere.
