Airlink commences scheduled air service between Nelspruit Kruger to Vilanculos, Mozambique – on 19 June 2014
Flight will operate twice weekly (Thursday and Sunday) – the new Kruger to Vilanculos flights will serve to further enhance accessibility to this iconic beach destination and compliment Airlinks current direct flights operating between Johannesburg and Vilanculos. The additional flights will create a convenient daily service between Vilanculos and Johannesburg offering the necessary flexibility for packages.
Tour Operators and African Safari specialists at ILTM Africa, We Are Africa and Indaba travel shows have embraced the introduction of this route, enabling them to actively promote seamless bush and beach combination packages with the new route. This will provide travellers with the freedom to enjoy early morning game drive and a sundowner on one of the pristine beaches either on mainland or on one of the idyllic island lodges on the same day.
The Kruger to Vilanculos flights will depart Nelspruit at 11h35 and will arrive in Vilanculos at 12h50 and depart from Vilanculos at 13h45 and arrive in Johannesburg at 15h30, the flights will operate on one of Airlink’s 12 Embraer ERJ135 regional jets.
As a franchisee of South African Airways, Airlink is able to offer the Nelspruit to Vilanculos flights, as with other Airlink flights, within GDS alongside SAA’s flights and those of SAA’s Global alliance Partners, thus enabling seamless connections and enhance traveller convenience.
Airlink looks forward with enthusiasm to playing a key role in the development of this new market to the benefit of our customers and all tourism product stakeholders.
